travel north america united states hawaii the island of hawaii akaka falls state park
Akaka Falls State Park is a short drive off the main highway through the village of Hamamu.
The falls that drop into a deep pool far below your vantage point are pretty, but not spectacular.
There is also fairly extensive paved path that can take you on a loop, with many steps, where you can see many examples of the native plant life.
